Je suis Charlie
Dear Mum and Dad,
Currently I'm in Nice and i just wanted to let you know that i am ok. I know about the terrorist and how two brothers shot 12 employees including the editor working on the charlie hebdo magazine due the controversial cartoons of Muhammad. The location of the terrorist attack was 10 Rue Nicolas-Appert, 11th arrondissement of Paris, France very far away from where i am now. But from Lauren, Madeline and I's apartment it was only a 11 minutes walking, a total of 900 meters. There was also an attack where hostages held in the grocery store, which was a connected event to the shooting at Charlie Hebdo. In the grocery store a few people died due to explosives. I have strong feelings about these events. The employees and editors have freedom of speech and press. So i think the terrorists went to far. the magazine is comics so they were mostly joking and two, killing is never the answer. The acts of violence at both events were awful and wrong and it shouldn't of happened, at most they should of just given them a warning.
